Right before I went to Hawaii I decided to do another triathlon. It was a lot more laid back and we didn't get a chip to wear but just had our final time. This was backwards from the last Triathlon. We ran first, then biked and then swam. It was still a lot of fun. I came in 2nd in my age division. I was happy with my run but needed help with my bike and swim. I just need to get myself a real bike so I can actually train for it. But it is still a lot of fun.
Sorry, no pictures. Scott and family had a Father's Day Breakfast Primary Activity to attend. I told them that I didn't mind if they missed it. So they had yummy pancakes and I worked out.

Camping
This year we decided to go camping again up American fork Canyon. It was a lot of fun. We were worried that it would be too cold (since it still doesn't feel like summer yet). But we were lucky and had a good weekend to go up. The Granges came with us. It was fun to have Grandma and Grandpa, Kevin and Chelsey and their family there.
The best part of camping is the food. We had great food. Parmesan Chicken, Dutch Oven Potatoes, Salad, Cobbler, Spagetthi, Bread, Pancakes, and yummy treats. Thanks for going with us. Here are a few pictures of the family up camping and fishing.

Preschool Graduation
Well it is official. Treyson graduated from Preschool. He had a wonderful Preschool graduation and a wonderful year. They wore costumes, sang songs and entertained us. It was fun to see how big they have gotten from last year and to know they will be in Kindergarten next year. We are proud of you Treyson.

My First Triathlon
Well after talking about it for years, I finally decided to do my first triathlon. My friend, Sara recruited everyone she could to do one with her. It was a lot of fun. We trained and enjoyed early morning runs, swims and bike rides (in the cold and wind). But overall it was a great experience. Enough that I am going to do one this weekend again. There was a large group of women who decided to do it. Thanks everyone it was a blast.
My times were
Swim 8:04 min/100yard 2:41.4
Transition 1 -2:59
Bike 42:05 mph 16.4
Transition 2 -54.650
Run 22:25.640 min/mi 07:28.5
I took 71st overall out of about 500 ladies. I was really proud of myself

Sheena, our friend was really sick the day before the triathlon. She had little energy but she still wanted to do the triathlon. I couldn't believe that she finished. She's amazing!!! I am not sure I am that strong. But after training she really wanted to do this. So way to go Sheena. Thanks to my family for supporting me during this training and during the actual event. It was fun to see my kids, husband, and parents at the finish line. YEAH!!!

Treasure Island
Ashlyn had the opportunity this year to be in her school musical "Treasure Island." She was given the part of Squire Trewlaney. (But they let her be a girl). She had about 30 or so lines and enjoyed learning the songs and dances. She loved Miss Winkel who was the teacher in charge. Miss Winkel will also be leaving the school because she is getting married and moving away. We will also miss her and the things she taught Ashlyn. My mom made her costume and did a great job on it. It was one of the best costumes in the whole play.

Last few weeks of school
Britton also really enjoyed and loved his teacher-Mrs. Deaver. He learned a lot and was so sad that she wouldn't let him do summer school. She told him he was just too smart. He really wanted to do it and still does. But believe me, mom is keeping him busy this summer.

Baby Maelie is finally here
My sister, Whitney had Baby Maelie on Thursday May 8th at 7:52 a.m. She weighed in at 6lbs 13 oz and she was 20 3/4 inches long. I was able to go visit just a few hours after she was born. She is such a cute little girl and is a delight to have her in our family.
Good job Whit and Bryan. I know she will bring lots of fun into your home.

Lagoon
Well it is that time again. LAGOON TIME. Every year we go to Lagoon for Ashlyn's clogging competition. So once again we came. It was an enjoyable day-the weather was a lot better than last year. Ashlyn's team took Overall Advanced Team winner. She also took first in all her all round solos. Way to go Ashlyn!!!
The rest of the kids really enjoy going to Lagoon. They get to ride all the rides. The two oldest really liked the new ride-Wicked. Treyson was a little sad he wasn't tall enough to ride it. Maybe next year. Brielle had a BLAST!!! She wanted to ride every thing. We are lucky in that all our kids enjoy the rides.

St. George
On Saturday we decided to take it easy and just hang out in St. George. We first headed to the St. George Tabernacle and had a tour of that. We could have seen many more pioneer buildings but the kids were done with "seeing things". Near the Tabernacle is a fun water feature for the kids to play in. So we let them take their shoes off and of course the two youngest got soaked. They enjoyed splashing in the water and getting wet.
St. George Tabernacle-This is the pulpit where the prophet Lorenzo Snow
did the talk on Tithing. (For all those who know the story)
After that we decided to go to our friends the Layton's house. We were going to go to the Sand Dunes but it was so windy and wind and sand do not mix. So we hung out at their house. Our kids got along with all of there kids, so they just played and played. That evening we went to dinner at the Pizza Factory. We had 9 kids and overall they were quite good. At least we weren't kicked out. The food was yummy and we had a good visit.
We then decided to go back to the hotel to swim. All the kids had a good time playing in the water and swimming. We then decided to have the adults go out for icecream why the two oldest watched the kids.
It was a lot of fun to see the Layton's again. Steve was Scott's best friend growing up and I have known Sara since age 5. If it wasn't for them, I'm not sure Scott and I would have met. It was great talking and catching up with them. THANKS LAYTONS FOR ALL THE FUN!!!

Zions Canyon
After Bryce Canyon we took the drive over the mountains to get to St. George. We checked into our hotel. The kids were excited because it had 3 beds, a big flat screen TV and Cable. Yes, that's right. We don't have cable at our house. I think they were more excited to watch Disney Channel then anything. That night we went swimming, went to the St. George Temple Visitor's Center, had dinner and then slept. At the Visitor's Center our missionary that gave us the information was Mark Eubanks from Channel 5 news. He was a weather man in Utah for many many years. He retired this last year and is now serving a mission in St. George.
Our family on one of our hikes
We enjoyed seeing the sites and just being together as a family. We spent all of Friday there and it was nice because it wasn't too hot yet.

Spring Break-Bryce Canyon
Our family decided to head to warmer weather this spring break. We left Wednesday, April 16th for Bryce Canyon. We arrived after nine so we hurried and checked into our hotel and went to sleep. The next morning we got up and headed to see the canyon. It was beautiful. I hadn't ever been there before and so it was amazing to see these wonderful rock formations.
It was a very cold day. It was cold mainly because Bryce Canyon ranges from 7000 to 9000 feet above sea level. We were sure glad we had our jackets. Britton had a cool walking stick which meant we didn't have to use the crutches. Actually we are finally finished with them. He is walking (not all the way yet) and will continue to go to physical therapy for a few weeks.
