Volleyball and Piano Recital
Ashlyn had her mid piano recital. She did a duet with her friend Amanda and a solo. She did a really good job. This week Ashlyn had her very last Volleyball game. It's hillarious to watch 9 year old play volleyball but she did a WONDERFUL job and really enjoyed it. She had her three good friends on her team-the two Rachels and Amanda. It was a lot of fun for them.

A few more pictures of Ashlyn

Okay, I know you've seen them but here are a few more of my cute Big girl. She wanted to do some posing. In most of the pictures I took she wouldn't smile. She said it was because Princesses don't smile in pictures. I told her I didn't care "Do it anyways." She had a fun time trick or treating this year with friends. It's always more fun to go with people that aren't all related. This was her first time to go with her friends.

Ashlyn's friend and the rest of the family
Here are the kiddos right before Trick or Treating. They were excited to go and can't wait until next year. Ashlyn has already discussed with Grandma what she wants to be next year. Slow down Ashlyn we still have 12 months.
Brielle trying to get her hat off
I was able to grab a quick shot of Ashlyn and one of her friends Aspen right before the parade. Aren't they cute. Ashlyn loved Halloween and the party in her class. She plays with Aspen almost every day at school.

Treyson loved his costume. But he didn't really like the hat. Oh well, he was still such a cute little boy.

HALLOWEEN

Well Halloween was a fun day for our family. It started the night before when we went to Scott's work party. The kids trick or treated, watch Bedknobs and Broomsticks, ate pizza, juice and decorated sugar cookies. They sure had a good time. We then went to my Grandma's house to trick or treat. We were already in costume so we decided it would be easier than doing it on Halloween with all our activities.
The next day (Actual Halloween) I spent the entire day at the school. Britton's party was first at 10:30. I helped with a game and they had four different stations to go to. They decorated cookies, made skeletons, and played two games. He sure had a good time.
I then went to Treyson's preschool becasue they were having a parade down the street. I got some very cute pictures of him and his class.
I then went back to help with Ashlyn's party. The fourth grade all did the same thing. Each class had a different activity in it. We were in charge of helping them make skeletons out of macaroni and beans. I was amazed at how creative the kids are. We did four rotations with her class. Two before the parade and two after.
So I also was able to go to the parade. The kids all were so cute and it was fun to see them all in costume. After school we got ready again and then at 5 p.m. went to our street party. Every year we get together in the circle near us and have a dinner before Trick or Treating. It was a little cold this year but we still did it. We had hotdogs and soup and yummy treats. We then went trick or treating. My mom, dad, Sister and her son Parker came down to go wtih us. I stayed at home to pass out the candy and Scott took the kids (but Brielle). They were gone for about an 1 1/2 and scored on the candy. Unfortuantely for them I gave over half away to their teachers for their treat jars. Anothe part I froze for the future. But they still had more candy than they knew what to do with.
So that's our Halloween!!! Ashlyn was our Princess, We had our two knights who save her and their trusty horse.

Britton's Award
You can't see him very well but he's in the yellow shirt
The Monday before Halloween I got a phone call that Britton was getting an award at school. They invited me to come to the assembly where he was going to get it. He was given the award for having attributes of a hero. He was the only one in his class that got it. I was sure proud of him.

Trip to Denver

Heidi in her white dress
Elaine and CassidyI was able to go on a fun trip to Denver, Colorado this past month. One of my good friends was able to have their daughter sealed to them in the Denver Temple. In March of this year she and her family were able to adopt a little girl named Cassidy. They stayed for us during that week and we enjoyed having them here. Well the 6 months came and they were officially able to adopt her. I wanted to go so I could be there with them during this special time. It was a nice break (Only Brielle and I went) and it was nice to catch up with them. They were also blessed to have anothe baby come to their home. There little boy was only a few weeks old at the time so I got to hold him too. Lucky for me. Our friends have had the great blessing of adopting their four kids. They are a special family and we sure miss them.

Heber Valley Railroad-Halloween
The kids and their dad were able to go on the Heber Creeper. It is an old railroad up the Canyon. Each Halloween they have a scary ride with stories and such.
Scott's mom won the tickets and gave them to us. They had such a good time. Mom wasn't able to go because she was involved in a play. But the kids sure had a good time.

Park City
Yes we are still here. I have been so busy that I haven't had the time to catch you all up. But here we go.

During the first few weeks of October the school had UEA break. So our family went to stay in Park City for the week.
We had a wonderful time swimming, going to Olympic Park, The Children's Museum, doing crafts at our place of Lodging, going down the Alpine Slide and Roller Coaster and just being together.

The kids sure
had a good time. They loved everything about the trip. They even took some of their own pictures for the Reflections contest for the PTA. We got a steal of a deal and was able to go to Park City for a whole week for only 200. Because we couldn't use all 7 days we were able to let Scott's Brother, My sister and my parents use it. Yes! The Granges our Still Here
Every Fall General Conference we go to the mountains to see the Leaves change colors. This year was no exception. We thought we would try to get a few pictures of the family and kids. Well I don't know what we were thinking. We didn't take a photographer so we are trying to have all the kids and us (including Brielle) look at the camera at the same time. Well it was funny. We did have a few cute ones turn out but our Camera was on the wrong setting and they didn't work. Oh well, I did get this cute picture of Brielle, Me and my girls and My girls. Unfortuately the ones of the two boys didn't work. Well maybe next year.
We have been busy which equals the lack of keeping up with this site. I was just in charge of Walk to School Day for our Elementary School. I am glad that's done but it wasn't really that bad. I had to get companies to donate goods and then had to give treats to the kids if they walked to school. It was a good turnout.
We also have had fun celebrating Ashlyn's birthday, doing dance, missing our dad when he's at Scout Camps and all sorts of little things. This week we are going to Park City for UEA. We are excited and hope it all works out. I then am going to go to Denver to spend some time with a good friend who is going to take their little girl to the temple to be sealed to them. She was adopted 6 months ago from Utah and I am excited to go be there for that event. My friend has also had the privilege of adopting a little boy this past few weeks. She is very busy but I know she is loving every minute. Other than that we hope all of you are well. Brielle learned to Crawl this month and is into everything. She's such a sweet baby.

School starts
It has been a long time since I have had a few minutes to myself. So I thought I'd catch up on some things. The biggest event for our family is that school has started. YEAH!!! We have had a lot of fun going to back to school day where the kids met their teachers, the first day of school and Back to school night. Ashlyn is in fourth grade and as Mrs. Durrant as a teacher. She is new to the school but not a new teacher. Ashlyn was excited to see many of her friends in her class. Britton was given Mrs. Barlow. If any of you have read any marriage books by Brent Barlow this is hiw wife. She has been teaching for a while and is great with First Graders. We got lucky to have her as his teacher.
Brielle just wanted her picture taken
