Our wonderful friends the Curry's came to visit us and some other friends this past week. It was so nice to see them again and it's just a reminder about how much we love and miss them.
It was such a busy week for our family. It was Teacher Appreciation Week at the school. I was in charge of doing the Music Teacher's door. I found way cute notes and wrote, "Mrs. Elliott, Just a "Note" to say Thanks. It turned out cuter than I had planned. Of course I didn't take a picture. I also spent a good part of the week working on the school newsletter. On Wednesday I watched my neice and nephew for the day. They were really good and I was able to get most of the house cleaned before my friends arrived. I also was in charge of bringing lunch to both of the teachers. It was a busy week and I felt like I was running with my head cut off-but it was fun and I accomplished everything
On Wednesday night the Curry's arrived from Colorado. We got them settled in and then hit the sack. The next day they had a visit with some friends so we just did all the school stuff. On Friday we went to the Bean Museum with them. Our friends the Cox's also came. It was a lot of fun to have the gang together again. Afterwards we went the BYU Creamery and ate good icecream. YUM!!! That night we played our favorite game and of course the GIRLS WON!!!
On Saturday we met at our house and had the Curry's and the Cox's stay for the day. There were a lot of kids but they all did so good. We had a great time visting and playing games and remembering how much fun we used to have.
One thing I know for sure is that these two families WILL ALWAYS be our cherished friends. It's amazing how we can not see each other for years and then get together and its like we have never parted.
I know that we were all meant to meet in Colorado to make these friendships. Although two of us have left, our friendships are still strong.
I am so grateful we were able to spend time with them this weekend. THANKS GUYS!!!
And it was fun playing games again.
