We had a wonderful time on our couples trip to Island Park. Janan didn't almost get to go because the Sunday before she came down with the flu. Fortuantly, I was feeling better before the trip. We were able to go with three other couples for a few days up to fun cabin. Our friends Dad owns a beautiful cabin in a wonderful location. We left on Thursday mid afternoon and arrived in Island Park at around 4:00. We unpacked and then waited for the other couple coming that night. We went and grabbed a Subway sandwich and then stayed up talking and watching movies. It was a fun late night.

The next morning we got all dressed in our warm clothes and went to play outside. We hooked sleds to the back of our friends snowmobile and went sledding. We then went to a hill to go sledding down. We headed back and had lunch and then just enjoyed watching movies. We headed to West Yellowstone for a movie at the Imax Theater and fun dinner out. It was enjoyable to visit with friends and learn more about them.

Us with the snowmobiles
The next day was our big snowmobiling trip. We left at around 9 in the morning and didn't get back until 5. We went a total of 106 miles that day. We first headed to a fun place called Mesa Falls. When we arrived there we noticed Scotts backpack was gone. We found it hooked to the side of his snowmobile. It was scary because it had been eaten in the tracks of his snowmobile. We are lucky it wasn't bad and that it didn't ruin the snowmobile. We were also lucky that a stop before that Scott decided to have me put the camera in my snowmobile so he took it out of the bag and if he hadn't we would have no more camera.

Stephanie and I looking at the falls
If you look carefully at the Mesa Falls pictures you will see that the area we had to walk in wasn't really safe. Its a rail that protects you from the falling. Well in the winter that rail protects you by about 5 inches. So we didn't get that close to the falls. We were able to go to different areas. When the Grange Family went to Island Park two years ago we went down the road to this hot springs. There were Huge fish, ducks and geese that hung out that you could feed. There was this little cabin. Well here is the same area but in the winter.

Feeding the ducks
After our busy day of snowmobiling we had a great dinner of white chili, cornbread, salad and a chocolate fondue fountain for dessert. YUMMY!!!! We ate so good up there and just enjoyed all the company. That night we played games and had a fun time watching people play "Hillarium".
We got up on Sunday morning and the husbands made us breakfast. We had homemade biscuits and gravy, bacon, juice, and eggs. It was sure yummy!!!! Thanks Guys!!!
We then had to pack and get ready to go. Always the saddest part of the trip. But I was missing the kids and we did have a blast.
We sure had a great time and want to thank our friends for the invite and the fun we had. Can't wait until next year!!!!
