UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

For our Fall Break this year, our family headed down to Los Angeles, California. (Before the fires hit). We had a BLAST. We took my Mom- Grandma Jan and the 4 kids and drove down. We headed out on Wednesday October 10th after work. We drove all the way to Las Vegas and then spent the night at one of our football friends houses. We then got up early the next morning so we could get to LA by Noon. We headed out and arrived at Universal Studios by 12:00. We hurried and ate lunch and then headed inside the park.

We had gotten the Southern California City pass which entitled us to 3 Days at Disneyland; a day at Universal Studios; a day at Sea World; and a day at either the San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park. It was cheaper for us to do this since we also wanted to go to Sea World.

We wouldn't have gone to Universal Studios if it hadn't been in the package, but we still had a good time there.

The first show we saw was "Water World." It was amazing. It had water crafts, fire, planes exploding and a huge battle. The kids were amazed at what they saw.

We then spent the rest of the day seeing a few other shows (shrek and the Animal Show).

Some of our favorite parts of the day were going on the Studio Tour. It was a fun tour where we saw many of the movies sets. The coolest ones were "War of the World's" and "Jaws". The Kids enjoyed it. They also loved the Jurassic Park Ride; somewhat liked the "Mummy Ride" (depends one what kids you ask-Britton loved it and Ashlyn wasn't so sure). We also saw "Back Draft," and then enjoyed playing at the Kids Play Area.

We then headed to Anaheim to find out Hotel. Of course Universal closed at 6:00 so we hit LA traffic. Let's just say we are glad we don't live there.
